The Quest for the Holy ("The Arming of the Knights")
was designed in 1890 by William Morris,
Edward Burne-Jones, and John Henry Dearle and 
woven by Morris & Co in 1890-94 at Merton Abbey
and is one of six tapestries illustrating the 
story of the Quest for the Holy Grail.

The tapestry depicts the arming and departure of
the knights of the round table, among them Sir
Bors, Sir Percival and Sir Galahad.

The original tapestry hangs today in the 
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
